exactly. It doesn't matter how good a storyteller the interviewed person is, nobody will picture the same while listening and watching to people sitting there telling their story. And even if you could 'spice it up' by merging in some sphere shots of war, you still get a boring documentary. But THIS : this is good, this is really good.

there's a reason you won't see films like that made by Palestinians. they have no moral conscience. they have been bombarding a small and peaceful town for the last 7 years, killing civilians and shooting babies. whenever israel pulls out and tries to let them run their own business they resume their terrorist attacks. they don't know anything but violence and distraction. they send young kinds to fight and then cry that children have been killed in a counter attack.

my friend, i wish i was wrong. i wish people would just mind their own business and stop fighting. the palestinians had their own autonomy starting 1993 and what did they do until 2000? armed up and then attacked israel on some false accusation. this is why israel went back into gaza, not because they love to spend money and men's lives. the problem is the arabs have better propaganda and they make the world believe they're so miserable (btw, Suha Arafat lives is paris and has millions of $).

This may be true but nobody goes out of their way to cause pain. You have taken a very extreme perspective on this that while I am sure it holds some validity it is a very one dimensional perspective.
There are unforgivable acts but generalising an entire population for them is a cruel and dangerous generalisation.

Are you sure you are talking about the same film?
This film is built around the massacre of palestinion men, women and chidren at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps by the Christian Phalangists (in revenge for the assination of their leader Bashir Gemayel). The only reason given for this is that the Phalangists worshipped Bashir and his death was akin to the death of a family.
If you honestly believe "Palestinians are the all cause of all their sofference" may I ask what you are basing it on?

This is a powerful piece of film making; it is a very thoughtful recollection of the horrors of war-- any war-- be it the misguided occupation of Lebanon or Iraq. It only reinforces the fact that alternatives to war must be found because the collective memories of war are not heroic, but full of agonizing trauma that people cannot forget, no matter how much they try.
