Kobe vs. MJ? No contest, MJ wins hands down: better stats, more accomplishments, honors, mvps, finals mvps, records, and on yeah....twice the rings. Hell, Kobe has yet to LEAD a team to even a SINGLE ring! Kobe top 15-20 all time..Jordan GOAT.

Jordan leads his team to six NBA titles because he has good teammates like Pippen, H.Grant, Rodman, Kukoch. Without them MJ would win just 1 or 2 rings but woudn't win 6. Kobe still has time to win a pair of NBA championships. With Lamar, Gasol and Bynum on his side its very real thing for Lakers. MJ has better career stats, more honors but Kobe has better records. P.Jackson said that Kobe is better skilled then MJ, Mike just has very good hands, but Kobe is better shooter. I agree with Phill.

oh.. magic , larry and shaq are better in their primes than kobe. kobe is just atlethic and a pure scorer, magic and larry are both complete players and survived the 80s which is the era where there are a lot of competition.Shaq is so dominant in his prime

Kobe isn't a better "pure" scorer than MJ. Okay look, the change of rules since Mj left is what allowed Kobe what he is right now. Kobe is the best right now but to say he's better than Jordan is ridiculous. Kobe in the regular season always has good numbers. But that number decreases slightly in the playoffs. Jordan on the other hand always has legendary performances from all aspects every season. The thing about Jordan is that he takes it up a notch even further in the playoffs.

A spade is a spade, yow. If I should say that Kobe is not even in the same universe as Michael Jordan, it would still be an under statement. Being the best player is not only about skills and points. It's so much more than that. NBA has lost billions since Jordan left. think about that!! In my country, people stopped playing B.ball since MJ retirement. Kobe just was not blessed with what Michael has. This here, is not an opinion... it's a fact.

Kove is playing a complete different era than MJ. The players now are faster stronger and have higher verticals. U gotta take that into consideration. Kove will be better that MJ when its all set and done...
