I without a doubt believe 911 was an inside job. Have you ever seen the zeitgeist movie. boy was that an eye opener for me. I allready beleived in a lot of the stuff in the movie but it made the picture a lot more vivid to me.

The only people that manipulate me are the ones that I agree with. The direction they are going must be the direction I choose to go. I submit to manipulation because the power of many is stronger than the power of one. I must believe in the direction we are going in order to allow myself to submit to the manipulation. Once you lose the ability reject a manipulation that you do NOT believe in; you become a fool. The power of numbers and the belief in a common goal is what gives life purpose.

Tribalism has nothing to do with the complexity of the organism. It has to do with whether or not the organism is social. Arguably an amoeba is more complex than a human (if you are going by quantity of genes). Elephants, dolphins, parrots, apes, felines, and canines are social organism. Hive insects like termites are super social organisms.

funny that you mention brainwashing. if you compare the indoctrination techniques used by zealot religious cults to basic army ("boot camp") training...they're not really that different. again, you get that same sense tribalism; the use of code speaking and their own customs. that's why I'm not really a fan of the military. Any military. I would happily not pay taxes for military protection if given the option by my government and save myself money.

not going by qunatity of genes, but by social organization and nervous system development, animals of all kinds are mujch more complex this way, although plants to show cooridnative life processes. tribalism has everything to do with the higher cognitive development.

battim, I was saying that less complex organisms, such as termites are MORE SOCIAL than humans thus Rendering your correlation of complexity to sociability false. It's an adaptation like any other. I don't even know if you are defining "complex" the way I do.

incects are systemically more complex than most life forms. any animal is of the highest complex forms. that being said, there is nothing concrete to your argument. instinctual patterns or behavior are much less complex than learned cgonitive social patterns. i never claimed anything was more or less social, only that the more complex the nervous system is the more complex the social interactivity is. language alone is more complex than any interaction insects have.

"language alone is more complex than any interaction insects have." That's completely false. The interactions among ants are far more complex than any human language. I suggest you google ant communication. "systemically more complex" You were talking about individual units, not the entire collective. If we go by your logic, humans are "systemically more complex" than ants, which is ultimately saying nothing. Also, "more social" means "more complex social interactivity".

Excellent video! I have been fascinated by this topic. The grouping instinct manifested in mechanisms like religion and nationalism often overide the individual's power of reason and this makes perfect evolutionary sense.
