Aaron Baum Wing Chun NHB fight

Notice how he withstands the takedown twice and how he keeps his opponent on the run constatnly. This is Aaron Baum a Chu Sau Lei Wing Chun man dominating his opponent in a NHB championship in England.
In CSL Wing Chun we actually have a MMA/NHB fight team called the Iron Wolves and UNLIKE other traditionalists we actually have PROOF that our system works and it works brilliantly.
Anybody can talk about how good their system is but unless you have PROOF that it works "under fire", in real fighting against a skilled opponent who's trying his hardest to beat you, all you have is a bunch of talk, and talk is cheap.

Because it is Wing Chun. It's Chu Sau Lei Wing Chun and the lineage goes back to Yip Man, I suggest you look into it before you open your mouth. All Yip's students had their own interpretation of what they were taught. I suggest that you look into Hawkins Cheung and Robert Chu which is Alan's teacher, these are people whose expertise cannot be contested.
By the way please do learn how to spell before you comment, it will make you look like less of a douche.

To anyone interested Aaron does win the fight.Just like with Neil Broadbent only clips are shown because these guys are still competing and they don't want the footage in the hands of future opponents for obvious reasons.

I've studied WC 2 yrs
Love it; however, I've yet to see 1 ring fight demonstrat'g anyth'g that looks like WC.His hands held below his head, aski' to be hit by trained fighter. ALL MA loses it's luster under 'fight or flight' situations; someth'g about adrenaline makes us lose coordination.

There faces are wide open! I love that WC is getting more exposure in the ring and I wish the best to all who enter. However, as much as I love WC, I have to admit that somehow, no matter who's doing it, u end up see'g a flurry of arbitrary strikes which makes it indistinguishable from any other MA. I always see WC in Title of videos, but ALL videos show a barrage of strikes which are rather uncontrolled. It's what happens in a real fight!

This is not traditional Wing Chun, it's the Chu Sau Lei branch which puts function over form. It's a lot like Jeet Kune Do in both training and application. traditional Wing Chun sucks ass

LOL...the only weakness in wing chun is that they dont practice protecting the lower part of the body like in other kung fu - but it is supposed to be a given after you learn an art you freestyle it

I have proof to myself that it works - I am personally surprised I havent seen a lot of wing chun in MMA, because those guys can punch fast, and each strike is really hard

1st of all I am not Alan Orr, just a fan.
And 2nd, until you provide proof of combat effectiveness like the Chu Sau Lei lineage did all you have is talk, and talk is cheap. If you're keeping in touch with reality you would know that two Kung Fu Masters with decades of training have recently had their asses handed to them by MMA novices with a couple of years of training, and their humiliation was made public on Youtube and through all the MA forums on the net.

I see body punches. Wing chun use punches to the body, hook
uppercut. The takedown defense is probably from wrestling or BJJ. This is MMA wing chun.

I've got a question for you! I've watched both this fight, Alans own fight and another of Alan's students (Aaron somebody?)winning an NHB fight and no of you seems to be punching to the head!? Why is this? Am I mistaken? Is it the rules you are fighting under, or were you trying to 'cut' the arms?

I did not see one second of "PROPER" Wing Chung at all in this video. Just two inexperienced guys going at it.
