Clive Barnes has been slowly gaining a worldwide reputation as one of the finest Lapslide/Regular acoustic guitarist and songwriters on todays scene. Having released four critically acclaimed albums, Played and recorded with Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal and Eric Bibb,three sold out US tours, tours of France, Germany and the UK and various awards, Including Album of the Year 2002 in the US magazine 'Acoustic Guitar'. Acoustic Guitar Magazine USA Album of The Year 2002. Clive's talents as a guitarist have been employed by some of the most respected musicians working today,like Blues Legend Taj Mahal Grammy winning songwriter Jim Lauderdale,Nashville Bluegrass Flat picking legend Steve Kaufman, Joe Cocker and most recently New York Singer/Songwriter Eric Bibb who took Clive on tour in France and the UK in 2005.

| Mate, apart from the fact they're both playing lap guitar, there's like no similarity! The Guy KJ's song is like at half the tempo apart from anything else. Jus because someone picks up a regular six-string and isn't as good as Hendrix or Robert Johnson, but is inspired by them doesn't mean they're copying them - that's if Barnes has even heard of Phelps. |

| Clive, you will have to find your own voice! Can I remind you that you are from Ireland and NOT the west coast of America! Kelly Joe's voice sounds "created" to me. Then along comes Harry Manx! Clive, the people posting here should be the people buying your cds - we don't want a copy. But, if you must copy someone, try Paul Brady's "folkie" voice. |

| Hey man, this is unreal! I thought this guy was American! I was at one of his gigs last summer when in Ireland and he was singing and speaking in an American accent! Never mind who he's copying, if he's Irish what the heck is he putting on the accent for? Some tribute act or what? |

| Well you obviously do give a fuck if you've taken it upon yourself to slag off some of the biggest names in music in a desperate and childish act of defence. Those acts are fantastic! If you can't take criticism perhaps you need to consider another career? Not everyone is going to like what you do. Accept it. |

| Even though I still believe he's very inspired (copying ?) by Kelly Joe, my comment was really stupid, and I really feel bad and apologize for it...That guy is more talented that I'll ever be and I finally enjoyed his performance, very nice music and lyrics, nothing else matters. |
