fuck the conservative party. the ethic is anti-working class which is the life-blood of the country and so i will never vote them. left wing is the way to go. did the 80s not teach people lessons. may not like brown but peope in the north wouldn't stand a chance in a right wing program

he hasn't been doing a good job i'll give you that but with cameron i see all talk and no action. when you watch this clip cameron asks a question to brown. brown will answer then he's either duck the respodning qquestion or change the subject. one thing he done was just jump on the way he answered a questiuon niot the answer given.

the labour party is ... ( 1 week ago by jimmypaddy)
the labour party is historicly halped the working class i admit not recently but is what they are meant to be about.
Well yes that is ... ( 1 week ago by brokenbriton)
Well yes that is what they allude to a socialism. Much of the basis of Callaghan's Labour Party was that it represented the unions in parliament but in 1978-79 was the winter of discontent ( look it up ) and chaos took over and it all evaporated. When Thatcher came to power the country was on its knees. even Idi amin offed aid to the UK in the shape of crates of bananas. However Labour have brought us to finanacial disaster too many times. Not far back
Much of the basis ... ( 1 week ago by brokenbriton)
Much of the basis of Callaghan's Labour Party was that it represented the unions in parliament. then the winter of discontent ended all that. Labour have allowed the growth to be funded by massive debt and soaring house prices. this has all come crashing down leaving massive national debt. The gold rule has been shattered.

this recent financial disater is in my opinion not totally labours fault blame them for such structures as the stcok market collapsing. it is hard to deny labour have fouled up but when looking at history the consevatives have done so big time
Jimmy Please dont ... ( 1 week ago by brokenbriton)
Jimmy Please dont link all the issues 1) credit crunch..yes risky deals but known about for over a year. look at you tube..Bird and Fortune - Subprime Crisis ( note date ) 2) energy, food, fuel inflation..below inflation rises and increased mortgage and credit costs(risen from 3-6%,doubled) which has been going on for a while. this has caused people to loose spending power and confidence..Hence the high street is in trouble as is house building, car makers the list goes on.The Govt was warned.

You are right though with SIV and CDS and the hedge fund managers. Who was watching what was going on. please look at Bird and fortune subprime crisis
well clearly that ... ( 1 week ago by jimmypaddy)
well clearly that is a case of such incompatence there fair enough.
you could look at thatchers lack of fairness toward people of the working class with her little Poll tax which emplied that people who earn massive wages should get taxed the same as someone earning far less. thus causing a larger gulf between the upper class and working class. causing a massive d
epression with riots.
I don't wish to ... ( 1 week ago by brokenbriton)
I don't wish to disagree about all your comments but I though the poll tax had some merit. It basically put the burden of local services for everyone to pay. Instead of just home owners. Alex Salmond and the Liberals all have variations on this tax. They intend to raise income tax so everyone pays something. The current system is archaic and homes are valued at 1991 values even if not built then. unless of course you live in Wales who have a different date setting. I'm not saying Maggie contd..
way right but it ... ( 1 week ago by brokenbriton)
way right but it seems wholly unfair to me that home owners alone pay for these services. In addition labour shifted the police funding to the local authorities causing rates to rise. In fact in Lincolnshire last year the police take was raised by 80%..ridiculous.
i agree it is ... ( 1 week ago by jimmypaddy)
i agree it is ridiculous, but with the poll tax is that people are nnot earning a massive amount just enough to stay alive and are forced to pay a tax not based on their income. while people who have massive money that he havn't earned are paying a small tax in relation to their money shows why a tax needs being based a persons income. it would generate a higher form of income to the government.
Ah but somewhere in ... ( 1 week ago by brokenbriton)
Ah but somewhere in the middle of current system are the pensioners who dont earn much but have to pay rates on their houses. Last year a few were imprisoned for refusing to pay above inflation pay rises. We need a new system so everyone contributes to local services but not so as it penalises disproportunately. What do you think of the liberals ideas on domestic rates. Scrap the current system and have an extra 2p on tax to pay the costs. The SNP feel a similiar system is fairer.
i understand that ... ( 1 week ago by jimmypaddy)
i understand that people are on fixed incomes.
th 2p idea could work but you have to realise that people who are on daddy's money or some form of inheritance who choose to not work might not be given a high enough taxation to encourage them to work. people who are on the mimum wage bracket are going to be scratching their heads over their role in such a scheme.
To be honest I feel ... ( 1 week ago by brokenbriton)
To be honest I feel that those on a minimum wage should not be paying tax. the current thresholds are way too low. Something Mr Brown calls fiscal drag. I personally feel that no one should pay any income tax until they earn at least 10K and 40% tax should kick in around 50K. and may be a 55% at around 200k. W also need to look how to catch those like Lewis Hamilton Who choose to live abroad to avoid tax and Non doms.

Harmann should be the last person to be in charge. We need something done straight away to reduce the job losses. Brown is dithering whilst things only get worse.
