It is beautiful. Although Communism is a flawed and worthless system, one can still appreciate this example of pure patriotism and military power that Russia once showed and that all powerful nations should hold.

i agree with brooklynNY1992. communism is not flawed. its those in power who abuse it and turn it into a dictator ship. every type of government works, you jusnt need the right people in charge in order to run it the right way.
People are ... ( 4 days ago by TheWhiteSuit)
People are certainly flawed, but Communism is also an odd take on government. I guess I just don't like the idea of not having private ownership, or the fact that what I earn does not belong to me, it belongs to everyone. Government and society needs a class system to function properly.
That was very well ... ( 4 days ago by TheWhiteSuit)
That was very well put. Really a government is only as good as its people, and the men that run the establishment. In the past, men have abused the power bestowed upon them, but that does mean a government cannot work. The same is said for an Autocracy, Monarchy, Oligarchy or Democracy. But like I said before, I don't think that the concept of no private ownership and a classless system really fits as a proper government.

There have always ... ( 3 days ago by TheWhiteSuit)
There have always been classes, even without an actual government dictating thus. If a man has more land or more money than his neighbor, he is on a higher level, and therefore class, than his neighbor. As long as mankind battles for power, which has enveloped our entire history, there will be classes, depending on who holds the power. Would you rather have a governed system of classes, or a system that the powerful decide on?
Every government ... ( 3 days ago by TheWhiteSuit)
Every government has its pros and cons. Communism unites the workers, but takes away private ownership and individuality. Facism strengthens the military and patriotism, but you must go by the word of a single ruler. Monarchies have a system of nobility, but the poor below them often suffer. The same is said for Capitalism and Democracy. The only system without any real defined positives or negatives is Anarchy, because it is natural order and not order by man.

Wrong again! Communism existed when people were hunters + gatheres. Tribal communism- There was no government and there was no state!

And there was no intelligence! They had no conception of greed or power because they lacked the knowledge of any such thing. In a system without a government regulating what can/cannot be done, where men fend for themselves, sure, Communism is a possibility. But in educated and civilized times, ownership of property, self-fulfillment and individuality are top priorities. Communism, as you proved, is the government of cave people.

BrooklynNY1992 was commenting on how ancient tribal hunters lived in social communes, thusly practicing Communism as a way to help each other survive in the harsh, uncivilized world. I came back and said that the people of that time lacked the intelligence to form an actual governmental system, and that those communities they formed were out of human instinct, to do what you can to survive. In the modern era where we do not have to fear for our lives daily, better governments have been emplaced.
I beg to differ ... ( 2 days ago by BrooklynNY1992)
I beg to differ because, um, people still struggle to make ends meet. The government doesn't really care about its people. It favors its capital rather than human beings. Governments in the modern era are INHUMANE!
And you're saying ... ( 1 day ago by TheWhiteSuit)
And you're saying that Communism doesn't favor the Capital over the people? On of the biggest ideals of Communism is the majority over the individual, the welfare of the state over that of a citizen! And who's to say that people wouldn't struggle to see ends meet under a Communist system? Sure, everyone works, but that doesn't mean they have the same job or paycheck.

It DOES matter how much you get paid. If you don't bring home a big enough paycheck, then you may not be able to afford what you want, or need. Sure, things may be cheaper, like food or clothing, but not everything will be as cheap as one may need.
