The video voiceover says that people become eligible for induction 25 years after their first single or album is released - as "Madonna" was released in 1983, she only just became eligible.

I liked the Confessions one more but that's my opinion. Hard Candy's sleeve doesn't have Madonna as active, though it sure looks nice - not to mention is it by the same artistic duo that did the Confessions art design.

Roll Hall of Fame and being a pop music artist: Replay the clip or clean out your ears: Michael Jackson and Prince were previously inducted before her. All pop artists. The Rock
Roll Hall of Fame is more about the "rock era" than the rock genre.
