I know about sacrifice. I'm in the military. I've watched people bury their loved ones. My cousin was shot by a sniper after he voluntarily extended his service so that a Marine who had a wife and kids wouldn't have to leave. He stayed with his young Marines who had no combat experience, and I stood by my aunt as she put her son in the ground. I've lost friends, and I've met some of the best people in the world. People who thank me for my service are rare, because most people in this country...

You're pissy, but he has a reason to be. . .when its recruiting and boot camp its all pumped up about pride and patriotism and how proud we are of you for making the sacrifice. And most americans have bumper stickers or take the time to say thanks when they see someone, but real appreciation comes from actually helping not just sitting back and typing or speaking a few words or thinking a 3.99 sticker is going to make anyone feel better for seeing their friends killed or getting their legs taken
