| It's about the future. It's also about the absurdity of pleasure, in general. I really think it's quite brilliant. In the future, people will be immortal, (it's actually not that far off). The "very rich" will live forever. Elderly, but healthy; never dying. With all of their needs met "as they have for centuries". If you lived for centuries, with all of your needs met, what would you do with your time? Entertain yourself? Is there anything beyond that? |
