I recommend that you never get these extra insurance packs from Best Buy, they sell it because they make a lot of money. Not just for the 360 but for all electronics at Best Buy. Standard manufactures warranty is 1 year, so you pay an extra 15% on top to get a 2 year warranty from Best Buy, now you're guessing that it will break down but some where in the 2nd year only. If it's going to break down, changes it'll be with in the 1st year and probably within their 30 days, just keep receipt.

In regards to the Xbox 360, now in 2008, the 360 is more mature they've added the extra heat sink. If not, well Microsoft still provides a standard 3 year warranty. So again not worth getting this extra warranty for $50 - $70. Same your money buy an extra game instead. Also when if something breaks down like a printer, and you have their warranty, they'll try any excuse to not honor it like oh we don't cover this, we think you broke it on your own lol, trust me don't get it.

idiot. Best Buy offers these so you have a working product for up to four years. What happens when you have a power surge that frys your equipment? Or your battery dies? (which the manufactures warranty doesnt cover) Or dust gets into it, or it over heats?! After one year you just have to rebuy the product. And trust me youll be pissed THEN youll be coming into Best Buy bitching at us for selling it to you... it also coverss REGULAR WEAR AND TEAR. You wont find a service like that anywhere.

No need to be defensive, you can do what you want. In my experience, buy everything from Best Buy without their warranty, receipts lets you return within 30 days, most electronics don't break down, so overall you'll save way more money, if you live in an area with electrical surges, buy surge protection power bar or even a UPS for your TV / computer. Look online for electronic product quality ratings before buying too. I just think 20% for their warranty is excessive when 19 / 20 times, it lasts

Never buy warranty on anything. They wouldn't offer it unless they make money off of it. Just put all the money you would've spent on warranties in the bank and collect interest on it, then if something does break youll have the bills to replace it.

hehe yeah ok, they have that new deal on to (around where i live) where it's like a 60gb pro and 2 games for 300$...ps3's are still way to much. Well this is good to know
