I would counter that women and the media liked the beatles in large part because they had more talent than 99%, no actually, 99.9% of the other artists out there in '63-'64. Then they just got better...Beck's great, don'
t get me wrong, I have 3 of his CDs, etc...but the beatles were more talented-period. They also had way more of an impact on western culture in general, and rock and roll specifically, than Beck ever will-and he would agree.

I'm not saying those lads didn't have talent, 99.9% is a bit of a stretch. They changed the culture etc. But they were mostly female driven pop till sgt. peppers.
