Brazil's president Lula De Silva has announced a development plan meant to protect vital rainforests in the Amazon region, while allowing farmers and ranchers to make a living.
Last year Brazil's government warned the rainforests were being cut down at a greater rate than ever before, mainly to develop the land as pasture for cattle. Gabriel Elizondo reports.
