Hannity's Sarah Palin Interview - Love's America 7 of 7

Video Description:
Sean Hannity interviewed Palin on the Hannity and Colmes Show on the Fox News Network.
Palin did an excellent job answering Hannitys thoughtful and inquisitive questions. She obviously knows her stuff. Like she says in her town hall events, Im on the stump, try to stump me (with a question), she never shies away from a question. Shes exactly what we need in Washington at this point
in time. Shell be the one heading up the effort to make America energy independent, which is the number one issue that this country is facing. The very close second issue is reducing our annual budget deficit. Thats why they make the perfect team. McCains a proven fiscal conservative, and she knows
about oil production and how vital it is to our economy. Palin Says Voters Coping With Do-Nothing Senate on Energy By FOXNews.com Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Sarah Palin, in her second TV interview since becoming John McCains running mate, told FOX News on Wednesday that voters are coping wit
h a do-nothing Senate when it comes to energy. The Alaska governor, who used to head the states Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, said she would spearhead efforts to achieve energy independence if McCain is elected in November, and crush the gridlock in Congress. Energy is inherently linked to se
curity and prosperity, Palin said. We sort of have a do-nothing Senate right now where nobodys wanting to really pick up the ball and run with it and take the steps that we have to take to become more energy independent. And its going to take a whole change in leadership in order to really crush tha
t gridlock and get going on this, she said. Palin spoke with FOX News Sean Hannity in Cleveland, Ohio, a day after the House of Representatives voted to allow offshore oil drilling 50 miles or more off the Pacific and Atlantic coasts. But the bill now moves to the Senate, which has indicated it does
not intend to allow such an expansion. Both Palin and McCain support offshore oil drilling, but they split over whether to pursue drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, or ANWR, in Alaska. Palin, who supports opening up ANWR to drilling, told FOX News shes pushing McCain to change his min
d. McCain knows, more so than any other leader in our nation today, that for national security reasons we must be an energy-independent nation. We must start taking the steps to get there, she said. Thats why he has embraced offshore drilling. And Ill keep working on him with ANWR. In the wide-rang
ing interview, Palin also reacted to the developing turmoil on Wall Street, declaring the economy a mess while defending McCain against charges that he believes the markets merely are experiencing a hiccup. Palin told FOX News that it was unfair for Barack Obama to criticize McCain earlier in the we
ek for saying the fundamentals of our economy are strong. She said McCain was clearly talking about the workforce. It was an unfair attack on the verbiage that Senator McCain chose to use, because he means our workforce, he means the ingenuity of the American people, Palin said. And of course that
is strong and that is the foundation of our economy. So that was an unfair attack there. She added: Certainly it is a mess though. The economy is a mess. And there have been abuses on Wall Street, and that adversely affects Main Street. The federal government announced it was bailing out American I
nternational Group, or AIG, on Tuesday with an $85 billion loan. The move comes on the heels of Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy, Bank of Americas buyout of Merrill Lynch and a federal rescue of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. John McCain has that streak of independence in him that I think is very
, very important in America today in our leadership. I have that within me also, Palin said. And thats why John McCain tapped me to be a team of mavericks, of independents coming in there without the allegiances to that cronyism, to that good old boy system. Im certainly a Washington outsider and Im
proud of that because I think that that is what we need also. Well shake some things up. Sarah Palin Says She Watched SNL With No Volume September 17, 2008 Star Magazine Sarah Palin had no problem watching Tina Fey's impression of her on Saturday Night Live over the weekend — but couldn't bea
r to listen what Tina said! "I watched with the volume all the way down," the vice presidential candidate for the Republican party tells FOX News Channel's Sean Hannity in a new interview for Hannity
Colmes, airing Wednesday at 9pm/ET.
"I didn't hear a word she said, but the visual was spot on," Sarah says. "It was hilarious. In fact, I dressed up as Tina Fey once for Halloween. So we've been doing that before Tina Fey has been doing that!"

Sean Hannity really nailed her, didn't he? In response to her statement that she doesn't watch TV, he said, "Just Hannity and Colmes..." And she HAD to agree. Gotcha journalism wins again!

she is. but what amazes me more than anything about many conservatives is that they are more racist than they are patriotic. If you watched the republican convention you noticed Bush/Cheney were purposefully absent.Bush gave his speech via satellite.
And how easy is it ... ( 1 month ago by 1wilburn)
And how easy is it to run a state that gives people $2000 per year, and about $1300 per year in oil profits? The state is flowing in money, so what "reforms" did she really institute? How hard is it to run a state so small and so awash with cash? And you want her to run the country? This is not a likeability contest. .
McCain/Palin are ... ( 1 month ago by 1wilburn)
McCain/Palin are trying to separate themselves from Bush because he sucks and ruined the country after Clinton handed him a surplus. But I'm amazed at how republicans will ignore all of that, and think that McCain will now do something new. Can you please explain to me, after McCain voting with Bush 90% of the time, what makes you think he's going to do anything different now? Why do you think that? And by the way, according to the census bureau the state of

Yes she's hot, and seems like a "nice" person, but VP? Cmon. So in 4 years when her and McCain ruin the country and embarass us infront of the world even more than Bush has, are you going to just ignore it and blindly hope the next republican will just do something different? What does it take for you to see reality? Obama graduated from Columbia University and Harvard. He taught constitutional law. So just because he's a democrat you ignore all of that and just blindly vote for the republican?

The major network polls are in -- CNN, CBS, ABC
NBC. Of course, people polled on all four thought Biden easily won the debate (CBS by over 20%). Even AOL, normally very right leaning, gave it to Biden -- as well as BBC, Router, Wall Street J.
Gallup. In otherwords, everyone in the world but Fox. The nightly polls show an overwhelming majority polled on the major networks and news sites still think Palin is unqualified to be VP. No surprise. Can't wait to see Tina do some of Palin's answers.

What did he say at the beginning of this "interview?" "No topic is off-limits." Bwahahaha! Sometimes during the video Hannity would actually ask a relatively tough question (like the one he ripped from Gibson about the Bush doctrine). Alas, she was always able to not answer it.
People, don't ... ( 1 month ago by Nelliagnes)
People, don't confuse honesty and up front-ness with lack of experience or lack of knowledge or ability. She is who she is and she's not going to "sound" like a politician because she is first an American who will work for the American people. She doesn't care to "sound" like the other idiots in Washington. I mean is that really what you want? Historically speaking these public offices were meant to serve, not become establishments. BTW Charles Gibson so edited her answers it's crazy.

The free press is critical because it keeps government honest--it goes after the truth, looks for corruption, exposes mistakes. I didn't mind FOX so much when they used to bash President Clinton.
But Hannity and his cohorts have shilled for eight long years for Bush/Cheney and they'll shill for four more if McCain wins. This shifts them from defenders of freedom to purveyors of propaganda. I'm an ex-marine and I plan to vote for Obama.

Yeah, but she will be your queen soon, and you must accept that. You will have to obey her commands and respect her, no matter what you feel about her. And your tax dollars will pay her salary. So you can say what you want about her, but in the end it will be her telling you to jump, and you asking her how high. Do you understand that?

Coming from Australia, who are happy (on the whole) being long term allies of the USA, we are viewing this election with a lot of interest because the policies the USA have been implementing over the last 8 years have had a flow on effect upon our nations and others. Seeing Palin with a rifle, moosehunting and obviously having difficulties in presenting as a well informed, mature leader has a lot of us (i.e. the international community)more than concerned should she and her party get into office
She is a quick ... ( 1 month ago by jbranstetter04)
She is a quick learner, you have nothing to worry about in her. I do not understand how having a rifle and moose hunting is a bad thing. Like I said, she is a quick learner and will be up to snuff if she takes office in January. It is Obama that you should fear. He will be the straw that will break the camel's back. He is H bent on raising taxes and spending, and that will destroy the American, and hence the world economy. McCain and Palin will pursue low spending and fiscal conservatism.

FOX network claims to be "fair and balanced" however I have yet to see anything negative towards a Republican candidate (i.e Regan, Bush) yet they had no problem attacking Clinton and John Kerry when he ran for president. FOX is brutally biased and NOT news at all! IT IS PURE PROPAGANDA! Especially with the O' Reilly Factor! I advise any self respecting person who isn't fundalmentally christinly Republican (we're right your wrong no matter what) to stop watching FOX. It's an embaressment to news
