Video Description:
Sean Hannity interviewed Palin on the Hannity and Colmes Show on the Fox News Network.
Palin did an excellent job answering Hannitys thoughtful and inquisitive questions. She obviously knows her stuff. Like she says in her town hall events, Im on the stump, try to stump me (with a question), she never shies away from a question. Shes exactly what we need in Washington at this point
in time. Shell be the one heading up the effort to make America energy independent, which is the number one issue that this country is facing. The very close second issue is reducing our annual budget deficit. Thats why they make the perfect team. McCains a proven fiscal conservative, and she knows
about oil production and how vital it is to our economy. Palin Says Voters Coping With Do-Nothing Senate on Energy By FOXNews.com Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Sarah Palin, in her second TV interview since becoming John McCains running mate, told FOX News on Wednesday that voters are coping wit
h a do-nothing Senate when it comes to energy. The Alaska governor, who used to head the states Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, said she would spearhead efforts to achieve energy independence if McCain is elected in November, and crush the gridlock in Congress. Energy is inherently linked to se
curity and prosperity, Palin said. We sort of have a do-nothing Senate right now where nobodys wanting to really pick up the ball and run with it and take the steps that we have to take to become more energy independent. And its going to take a whole change in leadership in order to really crush tha
t gridlock and get going on this, she said. Palin spoke with FOX News Sean Hannity in Cleveland, Ohio, a day after the House of Representatives voted to allow offshore oil drilling 50 miles or more off the Pacific and Atlantic coasts. But the bill now moves to the Senate, which has indicated it does
not intend to allow such an expansion. Both Palin and McCain support offshore oil drilling, but they split over whether to pursue drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, or ANWR, in Alaska. Palin, who supports opening up ANWR to drilling, told FOX News shes pushing McCain to change his min
d. McCain knows, more so than any other leader in our nation today, that for national security reasons we must be an energy-independent nation. We must start taking the steps to get there, she said. Thats why he has embraced offshore drilling. And Ill keep working on him with ANWR. In the wide-rang
ing interview, Palin also reacted to the developing turmoil on Wall Street, declaring the economy a mess while defending McCain against charges that he believes the markets merely are experiencing a hiccup. Palin told FOX News that it was unfair for Barack Obama to criticize McCain earlier in the we
ek for saying the fundamentals of our economy are strong. She said McCain was clearly talking about the workforce. It was an unfair attack on the verbiage that Senator McCain chose to use, because he means our workforce, he means the ingenuity of the American people, Palin said. And of course that
is strong and that is the foundation of our economy. So that was an unfair attack there. She added: Certainly it is a mess though. The economy is a mess. And there have been abuses on Wall Street, and that adversely affects Main Street. The federal government announced it was bailing out American I
nternational Group, or AIG, on Tuesday with an $85 billion loan. The move comes on the heels of Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy, Bank of Americas buyout of Merrill Lynch and a federal rescue of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. John McCain has that streak of independence in him that I think is very
, very important in America today in our leadership. I have that within me also, Palin said. And thats why John McCain tapped me to be a team of mavericks, of independents coming in there without the allegiances to that cronyism, to that good old boy system. Im certainly a Washington outsider and Im
proud of that because I think that that is what we need also. Well shake some things up. Sarah Palin Says She Watched SNL With No Volume September 17, 2008 Star Magazine Sarah Palin had no problem watching Tina Fey's impression of her on Saturday Night Live over the weekend — but couldn't bea
r to listen what Tina said! "I watched with the volume all the way down," the vice presidential candidate for the Republican party tells FOX News Channel's Sean Hannity in a new interview for Hannity
Colmes, airing Wednesday at 9pm/ET.
"I didn't hear a word she said, but the visual was spot on," Sarah says. "It was hilarious. In fact, I dressed up as Tina Fey once for Halloween. So we've been doing that before Tina Fey has been doing that!"

NBC. Of course, people polled on all four thought Biden easily won the debate (CBS by over 20%). Even AOL, normally very right leaning, gave it to Biden -- as well as BBC, Router, Wall Street J.
Gallup. In otherwords, everyone in the world but Fox. The nightly polls show an overwhelming majority polled on the major networks and news sites still think Palin is unqualified to be VP. No surprise. Can't wait to see Tina do some of Palin's answers.
But Hannity and his cohorts have shilled for eight long years for Bush/Cheney and they'll shill for four more if McCain wins. This shifts them from defenders of freedom to purveyors of propaganda. I'm an ex-marine and I plan to vote for Obama.
