I like the music but Morrison told the truth about nothing. He was an upper middle class kid who lived in a fake California society and got high as much as he could. Reality existed in the 3rd world but not in 1960's California. He was a below average poet with a good voice and rock star looks nothing more. He wasn't smart enough to enjoy his life and died like a bum. Not much to admire or copy.

Wildboys24, I love the doors but sorry if Jim's life and poetry don't impress me that much. I'm 40 and have run my own company the last 18 years. I have a nice house, fancy cars and 2 great kids. You are right that I wont be famous and no one will remember me but I'm happy it's like that. Jim gave the world nothing more than some pop songs. If I meet him in the afterlife he may think I lived my life better than he did. I doubt he will want to fight.

Why is it that people think only sad things are 'reality' like 3rd world situations. Good things can be 'reality' too you know. Such as having a good time. You don't know how Jim affected people all over the world, he may have changed someone's life for the better when he was alive. Not everyone has to save the world you know.
