Padre revives with experimental music and film all the infernal rules and rituals practiced by the militant African and Native American animists that opposed oppression in the so-called New World. His hypnotic dance music spans the entire African diaspora with the underlying spirit of the Palo Kongo Mystery Religion that came about as a result of enslaved Black Portuguese exiles (Andalusian Black Jews and Black Muslims) from Central Africa seeking refuge in the Black Moorish communities that existed in all parts of the Western Hemisphere 900 hundred years before the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Like the West African griots and gifted blues singers of old time, Padre's musical sermons are a record of the past, present, and future.
