Isn't it amazing how Karajan uses different camera shots in these Beethoven Symphony videos. The Pastoral one is by far the best in my opinion so far.

My favorite symphony. AWESOME. Fantastic. I don't like to say "lost" between #3 and #5, I rather say HIDDEN between. A hidden jem. So many elements from his works but so unique. To me personally, so complete.

it's all about tradition. when playing beethoven you must keep in mind one of best european conducter, orchestra and tradition of austro-german cultural space. No other orchestra on the world can interpret beethoven so well that Berlin or Vienna Symphony Orchestra.

USA was founded in 1776, this was written in 1824. Also any well-trained musician can look at a score and hear it in his/her head - really not much more of a trick than reading silently, which people used to think was amazing.
