Then I think your an idiot. The series isn't perfect, but it's far from "Intellectually-insulting" or "Biblical pseudo intellectual diarrhea".
I can't stand most anime, but I do enjoy philosophy. And this series offered a refreshingly unique view on the evolution of humanity. While of course it was exaggerated and fantastical (As almost all fiction is), I found it made a number of valid points about the nature of human interaction and ab
out depression and suicide.

Or maybe their views and perspectives about their religion are short. Reading the Bible in depth instead of listening to the preacher could be a great experience if you understand how to interpret the text. Maybe N.G. Evangelion is 21st century christianity, or another way of expressing the same truth about ourselves and the world. Maybe nobody is understanding what a great spiritual/philosophical message brings this serial.
