But there is a difference, as I've stated before. It does make us better than them in that we have a good reason to take that person's life. Murderers kill for reasons that should not be exempt from morality. Capital punishment is simply a punishment, and this does not at all mean the government is just as low as a convicted killer. And also, it is extremely rare for someone to be found innocent after an execution. The statistics are incredibly low.

Yes it is very sad that innocent people have been put to death for crims they didnt commit but the chance of that happening is extremely low, and the government putting people to deaths for the heinous crimes they commited is absolutely now the same some man off the street shooting someone or someone raping a women.

God, I never said that it was fine. I already explained to you that that is the unfortunate thing about it, but when you look at everything in life, there's always going to be something bad about it. That is the flaw in our system, but that doesn't mean we should just give everyone else the benefit of the doubt. We're wasting our fucking tax dollars just to let these criminals live, when they don't even deserve that! We're contributing to low life pieces of shit! Do you feel good about that?!

You see, I don't mind when you share your own opinion on here, but when it comes to you accusing me of supporting the deaths of innocent people, that pisses me off. I, in no way, thing that innocent deaths are justified by the law, so don't tell me that I support any of that shit. I strongly oppose that, and that's why I'm saying unfortunately that is the one flaw about it, but it's the fucking court system and we just have to deal with it.

All unborn babies are innocent. Is abortion murder? What about partial birth abortion, or killing infants born alive following botched abortions. So-called "human rights" supporters like Barack Obama and Barbara Boxer even support those forms of killing.

I don't really know what my views on abortion are, it's too complex - unless people have been in the situation where they are having to consider one I don't think they can comment. I don't really think you can compare abortion with murdering innocent people on death row. There are many factors involved with why some woman have abortions, they may have been raped for example. I am against taking any human life but is abortion murder? It really does depend on the situation IMO

Is it murder if the evidence shows the state believed they had executed a guilty person? I mean, is that murder or manslaughter? I would like to see evidence or proof that an innocent person has been executed in the modern era of the DP (the last 32 years). I don't say no innocents have been ex

If a woman is having abortion after abortion
treating it like some sort of contraception then I feel this is wrong. If a woman has been raped
becomes pregnant then who are we to judge if she is unable to go through the pregnancy?
The state punishes men for murder
sometimes executes them. But when the state murders an inmate who has later been proven innocent they receive NO punishment at all, they get away with murder, literally. How is this justice? It's not how I understand justice

well, a good distinction to make here is that in war killing a war criminal that you've taken captive is against convention and as such a war crime. in the united states atleast, killing a person who has attempted to kill you but you've managed to incapacitate is considered excessive force and/or manslaughter. in war killing a pow who would readily kill you given the chance is a war crime.

I'm no expert on war or war criminals but I personally believe Tony Blair is a war criminal? We bombed Iraq because of all the WofMD, in the end no weapons of mass destruction were found, we bombed Iraq
killed thousands, it makes me ashamed to be English. How come we can just go into a country

Hundreds of innocent people being executed in comparison to the thousands that do deserve to be executed shouldn't be justified, but as I've said, there is a flaw in everything, and that is the ONE BIG FLAW in our criminal system as Americans. You don't have to experience something personally in order to consider its moral implications. Have you ever had to face the death sentence? No, but everyone is talking about THAT. Why is abortion any different?
We cannot know if unborn children are sentient yet, but they could be, and we DO know that they are innocent, regardless of how they were conceived. For this reason, EVERY abortion risks murder, the end of an innocent and sentient life.

There is a difference between justice and revenge. Capital punishment is revenge. There is no chance for remorse or forgiveness, and by executing a murderer the state is merely stooping to their level, and are no better than the murderer they are executing. Also, because our legal systme is (unbelievably) flawed, many innocent people are being put to death.

Thanks for the reply but I never said I was Anti/Pro abortion. I said how would it be fair to judge a woman who has been raped and got pregnant - then had an abortion.
I am basically Pro life
against the DP (even tho many probably do deserve death). I don't think ANY human has the right to take a life, whether it be a serial killer or the state.
I think it's too simplistic to say abortion is murder when there are so many situations although in theory it IS taking a life. It's complex..
