As long as meat is consumed, there will be a killing process. I think Chinese cooking has been often misunderstood and under-represented. Not that foodTV cares to elaborate on the 8 traditional Chinese cuisines anyway, ie stir fry being the way of Cantonese cooking and braising/poaching the way of Northern China cooking. Lang Xiong (the actor in this clip) prepares mainly Northern China dishes.

if you watch entire films on a small computer screen and not on a big screen where it belongs then you're an enemy of cinema and don't deserve to watch films at all. thank god films are not uploaded entirely on youtube. those will only render a fraction of the intended experience. trust me.

This scene at the beginning is the reason why I bought the dvd... I just watch it over and over... it's kind of therapeutic. Then again, my dad is a restaurant chef and I grew up watching Martin Yan on PBS, so I have a bit of a cognitive bias, yeah?
