I agree that the music is better without the crowd's singing, but Nena herself often encourages the audience, as seen by her pointing the mike at them. It's not that the fans just decided they would sing. She's always done this at live concerts, at least in most of the videos I've viewed. I've noticed that Nena does seem to enjoy feeding off the energy of a lively crowd though, and if that somehow brings out her best performance, then I'm ok with it, as long as it's mostly her doing the singing.

Did Nena kick her shoes off around 1:02 offscreen and then put them back on at 1:20? It sure looks like she's barefoot at 1:05. Maybe the shoes were getting too hot for her?
