dasdanarthur: I heard Sophie was getting voice lessons from Dame Malvina Major. So maybe.... But I fear that Sophie will be unfairly judged, as she will always be compared to Hayley. Which in itself, a very tall order. Besides, could lightning really strike twice in the same family? Well, I hoping...YES! We need more artists with real talent like Hayley.

Lightning strike 3 times! Her brother Isaac can sing and play guitars. Some think he could end up being a Country Western star like Keith Urban. I found a video on the net of Sophie singing Angel in 2004, her voice isn't as heavenly as Hayley's but is more down to earth and more real life. I could put it on youtube but everything concerning Sophie seems to be kept very private. I know Sophie alledgedly did a CD a couple of years ago but she must of decided not to release it.

I heard maybe Sophie want to get her schooling done before deciding about a singing career. If that is the case, it's unlikely we will see Sophie's debut for at least 4 yrs.

Hayley really has one of the best voices in the universe! I first heard her on online radio from NZ back in 2003 I think. And it was so amazing! Bought "Pure" when I went to London in 2004 because her music hasn't been released here in Sweden :(

The Westenra's are a somewhat unique family in that they seem to see nurturing the talents of their children as perhaps their primary parental obligation. The problem here is that Hayley happens to be a very unigue talent - one in a million, if not even rarer than that. I dont think it is unfair to note that Hayley developed quickly to the point where she got a record contract, and Sophie did not. I believe this was the last public performance they did together.
