Are you referring to me? I use a crane about once a week and always have a hard hat on. That's the reason for OSHA in the first place. The idiots in these 3rd world countries will work unsafe and without regulations and will have more accidents!

Ummm Austria is far from a third world country, and some will argue it is more advanced then the USA. If you are not aware of such a simple fact then yes we need OSHA to tell people such as yourself what to do and what not to do for the sake of safety as you are not able to think on your own.

Hah, I'm American, and despite this having no relation to your conversation, I think fiddlerpin makes himself look stupid. When he speaks about "3rd world countries", he talks about those countries like they are all stupid! I'd have to say the exact opposite, seeing as china makes about 9/10 the things we use in the US, and half of the other 1/10 is made by countries other than china, that are "3rd world"! And secondly, what good is a hardhat going to do in a 20 ton crane (maybe less)?
